This newly constructed hospital will serve patients recovering from strokes, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The 50-bed hospital will be a joint venture partnership between Dignity and Kindred Healthcare.
The PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) assume responsibility and accountability for coverage of assigned caseload of patients and provides occupational therapy evaluations, modalities and treatments in accordance with established hospital and department policies and procedures, maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care.
A PRN OT also assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of those patients being treated by Occupational Therapy Assistants. The PRN OT accurately assesses patients' needs; identifies and initiates appropriate occupational therapy interventions; provides patient and family teaching; and works cooperatively with other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional occupational therapy practice and interdisciplinary teamwork. These functions are carried out according to hospital policy in accordance with the mission and vision of the hospital and consistent with the philosophy of the department.
Must have a current Occupational Therapist License in the State and have a current Basic Life Support/CPR Card..
Position has a minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist required.
